Common Pathologies

Common pathologies diagnosed in the Center include: hypertension, congestive heart failure, post rheumatic valvulopathis (mitral valve regurgitation and /orstenosis, aortic valve regurgitation and /or stenosis), Ischemic heart disease (stable angina, myocardial infarction), congenital heart diseases in adults, arrhythmias, cerebro-vascular accidents.
In children, most pathologies include increased pulmonary blood flow (arterial septal defect, ventricular septal defect, atrioventricular septal defect, patent ductus arterious, truncus arteriosus, univentricular heart), decreased pulmonary blood flow (tetralogy of Fallot, triscuspid atresia), system icobstruction (aortic stenosis, aortic coarctation), parallel circulation (TGA).
After the results shall have been obtained, the cardiologist prescribes the best medication and treatment for the patient. The patient is referred to the pharmacy where the staff provides both the medication and education on its application.
